I have embraced Earth Day since I was in college at Colorado State University and have always felt compelled to help an animal, person or plant in need. Our planet is in crisis, was in crisis before we were plagued with our own viral pandemic, and now is breathing a sigh of relief as we are inadvertently reducing our carbon footprints by staying at home to save our fellow man. As we all know this is only a short reprieve for our planet, but it can also be a wake-up call and the spark we need to fire us up!
Sonya Renee Taylor said it best:
“We will not go back to normal. Normal never was. Our pre-Corona existence was never normal other than we normalized greed, inequity, exhaustion, depletion, extraction, disconnection, confusion, rage, hoarding, hate and the lack. We should not long to return, my friends. We are being given the opportunity to stitch a new garment. One that fits all of humanity and nature.”
Daisy Chain became my dream because of Daisy but it is sustained by my passion to bring connection, compassion and love back into the lives of horses and people whose lives are less than perfect.
We are perfectly imperfect.

The world requires us to take action, and it starts with connection, compassion and LOVE.
